Principal’s Welcome

Darlington Primary school has a long and proud tradition of providing generations of students with high quality education, in keeping with its rich heritage and enduring customs. Established in 1912, the school is a valued focal point in the local community. Its unique environment is characterised by strong links with the wonderful natural setting of its grounds and the surrounding area and a deep seated sense of community. This underpins the culture, operation and learning programs of the school and is one of the reasons why the majority of local parents, many of whom attended the school as students, choose the school for their children’s primary education.

The school’s vision is to provide a caring, holistic and challenging learning environment that nurtures and celebrates individual potential.

We value

Darlington Primary School

Our School

The broad and inclusive learning and teaching program is aligned with the Kindergarten to Year 10 Western Australian Curriculum. Students from Year 1 to 6 participate in specialist programs in Visual Arts, Music, Science, Italian and Physical Education.

Over recent years, a number of whole school programs have been introduced to strengthen literacy and numeracy outcomes for all students. Teachers will continue to focus on these as priority areas.

This website contains a wealth of information about the school and its operations. I encourage you to explore it to find out more about the school.

Tours of the school can be arranged by contacting Mrs Diane Walker/Mrs Kath Stanwix, the School Officers.

It is my hope that, during their time at Darlington Primary School, each student will develop a solid foundation upon which to base the next phase of their lives and that they will leave with many happy memories of the time they spent here.
