Of course, one of the highlights of the term was the annual Faction Athletics Carnival. Congratulations to Green Faction for their emphatic win and to the students who won championship and runner up medallions in the competition. (See details later in the newsletter) I was very impressed with the attitude, endeavour and fabulous behaviour displayed by our students on the day.
As part of our commitment and responsibility to ensure the safety of students at school, we routinely practise responses for a number of hypothetical emergency scenarios. Last week we carried out a practice drill for a Lockdown.

The school is located on a beautiful three-hectare site in the heart of the Darlington village, in the hills east of Perth. In 2012, the school celebrated its Centenary and maintains a long and strong tradition of providing quality education for children from the local area. It is not uncommon for current students to have followed their parents and grandparents in attending the school.
Darlington Primary School is located near bushland, as such we are at risk from a bushfire and developing a bushfire survival plan is critical. Being prepared for a bushfire can help save lives.
