Term One, Number 3 - 6 March 2018
Thursday 22nd February was a perfect day, weather wise, for a swimming carnival – not too hot and not too cold. It was fabulous to watch our younger students from Years 1,2 and 3 enthusiastically splashing about in the pools in both the novelty games and the races in the pool at the Junior Carnival.
Last Monday evening, the School Council held its first meeting for the year. This group is composed of elected representatives from the parent body, community and staff, who are charged with the responsibility of setting the direction that the school will follow to achieve the best possible education for its students.

The school is located on a beautiful three-hectare site in the heart of the Darlington village, in the hills east of Perth. In 2012, the school celebrated its Centenary and maintains a long and strong tradition of providing quality education for children from the local area. It is not uncommon for current students to have followed their parents and grandparents in attending the school.
Darlington Primary School is located near bushland, as such we are at risk from a bushfire and developing a bushfire survival plan is critical. Being prepared for a bushfire can help save lives.
